When it comes to topics like food sufficiency, pressure on the use of natural resources, fair-trade for farmers and response of consumers to retailers messages, there is one common denominator; “people’s behavior”!
An important conclusion of our Floriade Dialogue #4 is that food waste creates an artificial scarcity. Waste by itself could lead to a contribution in food sufficiency by simple measures like redefinition of food product quality or higher appreciation and (thus) valuation of food. All mindset matters!
